Welcome to Punkopedia

This purpose of this website is to create a complete online encyclopedia of underground music and culture. Users collaborate to create and edit articles on all topics that relate to punk and independent music. There is information on bands, labels, records, people, organizations, companies and even sports. The idea is to create a complete reference that include all topics, from the Clash to your friend's band that just played its first show.


Punkopedia is built on the same software as Wikipedia. With very little technical knowledge, anyone can create and edit articles. What you write will be seen by the world. All you need to do is sign up for a username and read the Quick Start Guide. So get started!
