The 1st, 3rd, and 5th songs are in reference to the sore throat Ben had during recording. The album was recorded in a No-Wave style, and the last song is a titular and musical reference to No-Wave funk band Liquid Liquid. The album also contains TPFC's first experimentation with sound collage, hence the title of the album.
