Spirit Assembly is an incredibly influential, although not well-known, emotional hardcore band from Lancaster, PA. They were a main part of the central Pennsylvania firehall/basement scene, sharing the stage with bands ranging from Frail to The Bouncing Souls. They have several vinyl releases toured throughouy the US. Any bands labeled as "screamo" owe much credit to Spirit Assembly whether they know it or not. Performing, they looked like 3 crazed Amish men with their long beards. They are the original Amishcore band.
