The Weathermen are a punk rock group from Leavenworth, Kansas, formerly known as "Russian Discharged Submarine".

Following the falling apart of The Unknown Soldiers, Ben formed "Russian DIscharged Submarine" with his close friends Garrett, and Shane. Ben originally the bass player and vocalist, wrote and recorded a twelve song demo, but never released it. Due to tensions in the band (like artistic differences and lack of practice time) RDS disbanded and reformed with a new member as The Weathermen, named after the radical communist group of the 1960's. Ben switched to lead guitar and vocals, with Shane still on drums (though ocaisonally switching him out for Chuck), and with the new member Chris W. on bass, although Chris and Ben do switch places. As of January 2010 the Weahtermen had a radical change from the light hearted pseudo political pop-punk to now a extreme radical Communist lyrically charged Grindcore/Crust Punk band, and now have Chuck on drums permanently.
